First off, you only use wild blow when your enemy uses a stance, so even if u lose adrinilin, you will gain it back in a few hits, then just hit as normal, wildblow is excellent for those tough stance such as Whirling Defence which have high recharge times. Secondly, if you wanna be inovative just throw like 8 into curses and bring rigor mortis yourself! with all adrinalin build u wont notice the 10energy cost. and Third, Final Thrust and Decapitate are very very good skills. very good for finishing off enemys. and decapitate builds are all adrinalin, so u dont worry over the energy loss. and Finaly, you need to stop basing your response on 2 or 3 builds. theres hundred of combinations. my advice is make your own build. if u wanna use a certian skill, make it work, but dont base entire build on 1 skill. if ur gonna use something that kills adrinalin, bring something that runs on energy to use while adrinalin is building.

Unfortunatly Wild Blow works best on a Derv, or one of those Escape Rangers,
You can make it work on a Warrior, but your build would become subpar to the current meta builds, (i.e. As Tyla said, You loose a KD)

We actually used this bar in an old guild of mine with rush. Back then, we used Earth shaker, since magehunter effectively didn't exist (it actually did what the outdated tool-tip says it does!). 2-kd hammers were a pretty common occurrence for some reason, so it wasn't really giving up much. People just liked them for spikes I guess. We had our hammer war drop his mighty blow for wild blow to combat all the soldier's defense monks at the time, figuring he could at least break the stance off a monk so the axe warrior could spike him, if he wasn't lucky enough to be able to kd a stance monk with the aoe.
Even with bash, the concept behind wild blow on a hammer (as opposed to an axe) is still the same. It's not a dead skill vs non-stances because you can still use it as a lame power attack, and flail + enraging charge kind of allows you to be okay with adren loss right at the end of your chain.
|
Guess you're right, but Bash should really be a staple on any hammer bar to be honest.
@The Only Warrior:
Losing all adrenaline is a big, big cost. Decapitate is bad because no matter what you're stuck in Frenzy after it's gone off. Rigor Mortis? What?
There are no decent PvP all-adrenaline builds. All good builds contain atleast Frenzy for an axe or sword, or Crushing Blow for hammers, and Bull's Strike on most if not all.

The OP was asking about swapping out an interrupt or Bull's Strike for Wild Blow on a Shock Axe in PvP.
::Train of Thought has derailed::
Wild Blow wouldn't do anything for your bar. You would want to hit the stanced target before unloading with your Spike damage. Losing all Adrenaline would kill your Spike Chain before it started (aside from being an unblockable crit, which is nice).

i think the train of though derailed a while ago to be honest.
wildblow is not worth it on a shock axe. Wild Blow on a warrior only really works on the scythe builds.

Wild Blow is only good when your not using wild strike on a sin with the MB+DB chain. (golden fang strike )

wtf? frenzy? are you serious? if i see anyone seriously trying to use frenzy in their build that an automatic kick. if your stupid enough to spam frenzy, your stupid enough to get yourself killed. if you wanna use frenzy, go back to ascalon. otherwise use flail and end it with enraging charge or rush. anything > Frenzy.

Have fun kicking all the good warriors out of your groups.
In PvP (which is the topic of the thread), there is nothing better than Frenzy/Rush. You suggest Flail? Alright, let me just move back two steps and what do you know, I'm not being hit anymore. Warriors are often the last target if there's a monk or mesmer around, you can cancel Frenzy when you're being attacked.
I will give you that in PvE, Frenzy = auto kick. But this isn't PvE-land.

Frenzy is TeH skill in pvp!! with bull's strike
Nothing is as good as this skill. And you never use Frenzy unless Rush is charge.

Flail cuts into my adrenaline. Even in hardmode I'd much rather have frenzy. The only place where flail fits well on a warrior is on a pvp hammer war who has an energy skill to unload right when you want to turn on the IAS, and the guy is on the ground unable to kite. Otherwise, grow a pair and get past the newbie fear of frenzy.

Let's take this one step at a time.
First, you say people who use frenzy are bad. Next, you say people who use frenzy should be back in ascalon. Let's use logic.
If people who use frenzy are bad, and people who use frenzy should be back in ascalon, you are saying people who are new at the game are bad at the game.
No shit sherlock.
Anyways [tiger stance] is obviously a superior alternative. Because you attack like a tiger.
